Step 1:
Download a vector graphics editor
A vector graphics editor allows you to easily create new designs and save them as .svg files which you will need later.
Illustrator
or
Inkscape?
Adobe Illustrator is arguably the best known vector graphics software available and is often used by professionals - however it is a paid service.
Due to it's role in industry there is plenty of third party assistance available and many online and university courses will teach using the Adobe Suite
Inkscape is an open-source free vector editing software.
It is also robust and powerful like Illustrator but does not hold as much of the industry.
There is still, however, plenty of third-party support available on the internet.
Again, it should be noted that Inkscape is FREE unlike Illustrator
Step 2:
Create your Design
It can be daunting to start designing logos but it is actually far easier than it seems!
A quick search on YouTube will help you learn all you need to know to start designing. Personally, I have used Logos By Nick's channel to learn whenever I've needed help. If you'd like to see their channel, click on the button below!
Step 4:
Upload your design to
The time has come to export your design. You'll need 3 files in total:

The .svg file. This is the original file that is saved when you save your project on Inkscape. When you look at it in the file manager, it should have the Inkscape or Illustrator logo on it.
The same design should be saved as a .jpg or .png
Lastly, you need the design on the template saved as a .jpg or .png.

You will be uploading the last 2 files to Instagram and you will be saving the first for if we get you to the production phase.
Now you will need to upload the pictures to Instagram! Make sure to add sown_za as a colaborator
Step 5:
Get the likes!
Well done! You've uploaded your design!
All that's left now is to get to the minimum number of...
Once you reach this goal, we will contact you to let you know the next phase on our route to manufacturing your shirts!
Step 6:
Help us sell it
Our website works through collaboration between us and the designers, so you'll have to help us sell the shirts!
We will put out the ads that we need to try and sell but anything you can do to help will be amazing!

We work on commission. We will make 50 shirts with your design and pay you R50,00 for each one sold. That doesn't sound like much but when you add all the shirts together, that makes it R2 500,00!
We will pay you weekly for all the shirts sold that week, and if a shirt sells out completely, we will pay you with all your remaining payments immediately!
